Meet The Team
Daniel Diaz
External Vice President
Daniel is a sophomore from Colorado majoring in Industrial Engineering and minoring in Transportation. Having wanted to study abroad in China for as long as he can remember, Daniel was able to this past summer participating in the Northwestern Wanxiang Fellow's Program at Peking University and in Hangzhou at Wanxiang Polytechnic University. Daniel enjoys learning about Chinese culture and international relations, and has become particularly interested in China's political and economic relationships with the United States, United Kingdom, and Latin America. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys reading, watching movies, learning about railroads, and long-distance running.
Alasdair McClintic
Treasurer
Alasdair is currently a junior studying Economics and Asian Languages & Cultures, with a focus on China. He has been studying Chinese for a few years now, including participating in the Princeton In Beijing language program for 8 weeks last summer. While there, he got the chance to visit Xi'an and Shanghai. Alasdair loves learning about Chinese history and culture, as well as China's foreign relations and economy. Having grown up in England, Bahrain, Switzerland and Lebanon, he is always interested in new cultures. Outside of China Foresee, he is a part of the Delta Chi fraternity and club tennis.

Francesco
Marketing Chair
Francesco is currently a junior studying Economics and Asian Languages and Cultures, with a concentration in Chinese. He became interested in Chinese affairs when he studied abroad at Peking University, where he studied the economic and political development of China and its relation to the United States. He is also focused on mastering his foreign language skills in Mandarin. Outside of China Foresee, Francesco has written for various campus publications, such as North by Northwestern, In Our Nature, and Spoon. In his free time, Francesco enjoys playing basketball, painting, and cooking good food.
Peter Peng
President
Peter is currently a sophomore studying Economics and Mathematical Methods in Social Sciences at Northwestern. While born in China, he moved to Canada at the age of 5 and has spent the majority of his life in North America. Nevertheless, Peter is still very interested in understanding the economic, political, and cultural issues in China today. Outside of China Foresee, Peter is also a part of Delta Sigma Pi, ISBE Northwestern Capital Management, and Asian American Intervarsity. In his spare time, he enjoys bowling, watching movies, and playing the guitar.

Yujiao
Event Planning Chair
Yujiao is a junior from Beijing, majoring in Mathematics and Economics. She enjoys
China Foresee as a great platform to engage in conversations regarding different
aspects of China with people from diverse backgrounds. Besides China Foresee, she is
also involved in Alpha Kappa Psi and College Mentors for Kids. In her spare time, she
loves traveling, fencing, running and reading.

Ruidong Sun
Internal Vice President
Ruidong is a sophomore from Beijing and he is majoring in Economics. He is also interested in learning foreign languages and might minor in Spanish. Having attended both Chinese local schools and international school in Beijing, he is used to embracing and understanding completely contrasting perspectives. He enjoys sharing his perspectives on China with friends from all over the globe and he hopes that he can help eliminate any misunderstanding on China. In his spare time, Ruidong loves driving and likes anything car-related!

Helen Burkhardt
Public Relations Chair
Helen is freshman, planning to major in Economics. She enjoys participating in Chinese foreign policy simulations, reading about China's attempts to expand their influence in Africa, and uncovering China's Cold War struggle with the West. Outside of China Foresee, she participates in Northwestern Model United Nations and Investment Management Group as well as LARPing and listening to vinyl.

Cooper
Junior Executive
Cooper is currently a junior majoring in economics with a minor in business institutions and Asian studies. He is interested in macroeconomics and how China's slowdown will effect the global economy. He spent 10 weeks in China last summer studying political and economic development in Beijing and backpacking southern China by himself. He is also a part of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the men's club lacrosse team at Northwestern.
